The Midlothian Economic Development board members will break ground on the 140-acre fully-developed Midlothian Business Park on July 14, marking the construction of the new industrial park.
The groundbreaking will begin at 11:30 a.m. at 2801 Miller Road and is open to the public.
Last April, Midlothian Economic Development acquired the land located at the northwest corner of Highway 67 and Miller Road, according to Larry Barnett, President of Midlothian Economic Development. The new Midlothian Business Park will be developed on the land in support of Midlothian Economic Development’s focus to attract companies from outside the area to build their business within the City of Midlothian.
Set to open in early 2016, Midlothian Business Park is garnering buzz locally and regionally.
Whether companies are seeking large or small parcels of land, Midlothian has planned accordingly to ensure it can accommodate. The roughly 140-acre Midlothian Business Park will be the city’s newest offering to companies in growth mode and will be designed with smaller manufacturers in mind.
Flexible real estate options in Midlothian Business Park will be ideal for tenants seeking five to 15 acres for facilities that could range from 20,000 to 150,000 square feet.
Meanwhile, RailPort Business Park, located just across the highway, caters to larger operations. The 1,600-acre, dual rail-served park is optimal for companies desiring 10 to 200 acres.
