Courtyard by Marriott Planned for Midlothian

August 13, 2014 by Midlothian Economic Development

Midlothian Economic Development is pleased to announce that contracts are being finalized for a Courtyard by Marriott hotel to be built in Midlothian, Texas.

Construction on the upscale 105-room hotel is slated to begin in December 2014 next to the Midlothian Conference Center.

Larry Barnett, president of Midlothian Economic Development, says the announcement follows several months of work by City of Midlothian officials, the Midlothian Community Development Corporation board and Midlothian Economic Development representatives.

Marty Collins, founder and CEO of Gatehouse Capital and developer for the project, says the hotel will be the best hospitality offering in the extended area.

Collins has been a developer within the hospitality industry for several years. Since beginning in Midlothian, Collins has connected with 20 different communities within Texas. The Courtyard by Marriott is set to open in early 2016 and will act as a business enhancement for the city of Midlothian.
