After years of retrenching, it appears that retail is preparing for an economic recovery, and the news from the ReCON exhibition in Las Vegas was good for Texas.
As noted by Candace Carlisle of the Dallas Business Journal, Texas has four of the hottest markets in the United States.
"There was an overall upbeat feel to this year's conference," she said.
A Prime Location for Retail Development
This is a positive trend for retail growth opportunities in Midlothian, as our community has continued to grow, and continues to lead the Ellis County in key demographic considerations, particularly median household income.
Single family residential growth, particularly backed by disposable income, is one of several prime considerations for retail developers. Quite simply, they want to put stores where there are potential consumers.
Another consideration is available locations with visibility and access to major thoroughfares. Midlothian is fortunate to have prime retail development property along two important highways, Highway 67 and Highway 287.
