In Midlothian, we are proud of the industries that are such an intrinsic part of our community.
Beyond giving solid employment to residents throughout the area, the industrial citizens of Midlothian are active participants in the constant effort to improve the quality of life in Ellis County.
It's with particular pride that we congratulate the LafargeHolcim facility in Midlothian for the recognition of being the No. 1 cement plant among all of the company's U.S. and international facilities.
The designation was granted based on the plant's performance, but also of note is the facility's eighth consecutive year without a lost-time accident.
LafargeHolcim's Commitment to Performance
LafargeHolcim's local record of creating an industrial environment in which people can perform at the highest level, and then return home safely to their families, is a standard that shines as an example for all companies. This record is also reflective of the values inherent in each of Midlothian's industrial citizens.
Likewise, LafargeHolcim continues to be among the community leaders in encouraging and supporting volunteer efforts. Ellis County Judge Carol Bush previously recognized that the more than 100 plant employees volunteered more than 1,000 hours of employee time in community projects and charitable efforts.
Midlothian's Growing Industrial Citizens
It's becoming apparent that there is a growing recognition of the industrial development in the community of Midlothian.
We are fortunate to have a wide range of industrial and distribution companies that have discovered value in starting and growing their operations in Midlothian. These organizations include Ennis Inc., Ash Grove, LafargeHolcim, Martin Marietta, Target, QuikTrip, and others.
Midlothian attracts and retains industrial companies that are committed to their employees and the community, creating a stronger foundation for everyone’s success.
We applaud the accomplishments of our LafargeHolcim facility, and add our thanks to their contribution to reinforcing Midlothian as a place to make something great.
